About this course

This course offers you the opportunity to use colours to start and develop creative writing. We will use a variety of writing exercises as well as prompts to kickstart the writing process. You can write in whatever form you like – poetry or prose or both – and experiment with different types of writing in a supportive environment. Beginners and those who have done some creative writing are all welcome.

We will use colour-themed prompts such as objects and images to provide inspiration for writing, and we will also use material in different genres – fiction/flash fiction/poetry/creative non- fiction. You will develop an understanding of the role of feedback in developing your creative writing as well as an introduction to primary/secondary/tertiary colours, and an introduction to the colour wheel

Resources to bring to this course:

  • Pen and paper – preferably an A4 notebook
