About this course

This course will cover basic crochet techniques and look at starting to create small projects.  It will cover yarn labels, basic stitches using a foundation chain, starting from a circle and working in a round.  You will learn basic pattern reading and abbreviations.  It is suitable for complete beginners.

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

  • The learners will be able to follow a simple pattern and use basic crochet stitches to create small projects.

Learners need to bring a 4.50mm hook and some double knitting yarn or chunky yarn 8mm hook (Check yarn label if unsure).

Or if they struggle with their hands some chunky yarn and 8mm hook. (Learners preference – some older people find chunky easier especially if they have arthritis).
