About this course

This short 3-week online course is the first of three stages designed to build your skills in EXCEL. Starting with this Basics course these sessions will help you understand the navigation of Excel. The next stages Intermediate and Advanced, build your skills and knowledge of Excel. You can study all three stages or just one. All courses are designed to improve your employability.

By the end of this course, you will be able to set up a spreadsheet, apply common formulas and filters and create graphs. Topics covered will include:

- Formatting: getting the best of the ribbon

- Formulas: add, average & totals

- Functions: AutoSUM, absolute cell references, filter & sort

- Creating graphs

Inspire are able to provide this course free of charge through the government funded project, Multiply. Adults looking to improve their maths skills can benefit from a range of courses helping them to progress and get good, well-paid jobs.

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
