To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in the UK with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

This is a short talk on the developments and historical figures who contributed to the development of computers and computing. The session will look at the roles and contributions of key figures, from the Industrial revolution through to the early days of electronic computing.
By the end, you will know more about the inventions, characters and circumstances that led to modern computers – including the huge contribution by Ada Lovelace.
A suitable electronic device such as a laptop, tablet or smartphone with internet access. This is an online course. Learners will be required to download and use Zoom (free software).
A small notebook and pen may be useful to take notes
