This online course is an introduction to working in schools. It will boost your confidence with numbers and calculations helping you find employment in school-based jobs whether in the classroom or office.
Our experienced, fully qualified tutors will give simple explanations and guidance to help you improve your current maths skills and remember any areas that you may have forgotten. Plus, the course will be full of like-minded learners – like you - keen to build their maths confidence and get ahead.
This 3-session course is geared to improving your skills and confidence with maths giving you the boost needed to transfer to an accredited Functional Skills Maths qualification.
If you achieve a level 2 qualification in maths this will open-up more job and training opportunities. For example, if you would like to seek employment in administration, the trades, teaching or retail, a level 2 functional skills maths qualification is a must.
By the end of the sessions, you will be able to:
- order larger numbers and amounts
- enter data onto a spreadsheet
- recognise percentages / fractions / decimals
- refresh your multiplication skills
You will need access to a laptop as the course is online. Links to the online session will be sent nearer the time.
