About this course

This course is suitable for those who have completed a Macrame for Beginners course with Inspire Adult Learning or have the basic knowledge of how to complete basic knots such as square, half knot and the double half-hitch knot. 


Over the sessions, we will create several pieces of Macrame Jewellery including bracelets, necklaces and if you wish earrings, applying the techniques on the beginner's course and developing on these.   


Within the course learners will gain an understanding of; 

  • Macrame equipment 
  • Macrame knots
  • What will learners achieve by the end of the course?  
  • Develop/Use counting skills & measuring – Be able to calculate the requirements of cord for a project 
  • Have the understanding of the basic Macrame Knots and be able demonstrate - Larks Head & Gathering knot 
  • Have the understanding of the basic Macrame Knots and be able demonstrate – Square Knot & Half Knot  
  • Have the understanding of the basic Macrame Knots and be able demonstrate -  Double Half Hitch 
  • Have the understanding of the basic Macrame Knots and be able demonstrate –Hiching on a ring 
  • Complete some Jewellery Items and reflect on your learning 
  • Develop/improve their eye and hand coordination  
  • Analyse the benefits of creative activities to improved mental health

  • Macrame cord  
  • Embroidery Floss 
  • T-shirt Yarn (optional) 
  • Scissors 
  • Ribbon Caps 
  • Cord ends and clasps 
  • Comb (fine toothed comb such as a cat grooming tool)

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
