To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

  • Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
  • Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in the UK with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Greater Manchester, Greater London, Liverpool City Region, Tees Valley, West Midlands and West of England.


Join our fun family learning course aimed at families with babies and children under the age of 5. Music-making provides an engaging and enjoyable activity for everyone and is led by a friendly and experienced teacher. 

This practical course will give ideas about how to support your child with music making. 

All sessions are mapped to the Early Learning Goals and follows the Government’s curriculum. 

On this course you will:

  • You’ll learn songs and rhymes both familiar and brand new! 
  • You’ll learn how to support your child to read simple musical rhythms. 
  • Learn some Makaton signing. 
  • You’ll use Jolly Phonics Songs to help with sounds and early reading skills. 
  • Engage with a curriculum theme such as: Chinese New Year, Spring, Space, Water. 
  • Celebrate various key events throughout the academic year such as: World Nursery Rhyme Week, BBC Music Day and more. 

You will need:

  • Laptop and access to the internet 
  • Rattles/shakers or simple musical instruments – tuned percussion such as a simple Xylophone or chime bar set. 
  • A tea towel/small blanket that can be used as a parachute 
  • Small soft toys to bounce on the ‘parachute’

This course will not be running on the 18th February (half term).  This is an online course. A suitable electronic device such as a laptop, tablet or smartphone with internet access will be required. Learners will be required to download and use Zoom (free software).
