About this course

Have you ever noticed how mainstream psychology focuses on dysfunction and what is wrong?  This course will introduce you to positive psychology, the science of what makes life worth living. 


This course will introduce positive psychology and what creates wellbeing and flourishing: 


- The pleasant life - Creating positive emotions and happiness. 

- The engaged life – Identifying and developing strengths and getting into the flow zone. 

- The meaningful life - Creating meaning and purpose and connection with others.  

- The flourishing life – Action planning for the future. 


Resources required by attendees

  • Pens
  • Blank paper
  • If possible coloured pens or pencils.    
  • A smartphone or internet-enabled device.  

If you have one, your library card to connect to the internet.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.


Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).


As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
