About this course

This course will introduce the subject of Social Psychology. Over three sessions, you will explore the behaviour of individuals in their social and cultural setting, with a focus on how people’s thoughts, feelings and behaviours are influenced by the real, imagined or implicit presence of others.

What will be covered on the course?

Learners will understand what Social Psychology is, and explore different areas of investigation that social psychologists seek to explain, including aggression, prosocial behaviour, attribution theory, prejudice, belonging, affiliation, proximity, the self, and relationships.

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?

Discover many interesting experiments as some of the main theories of social psychology are presented. From exploring famous and influential studies, to discussing contemporary research, learners will engage with the study of human behaviour to gain a greater understanding of how and why we interact as we do.
