Dance

Led by a team of dynamic professional dance artists, the Inspire Youth Arts Dance Programme offers high-quality training, opportunities to develop choreography and inspiring performance experiences.

By exploring contemporary, ballet and commercial street styles through creative approaches, we offer:

  • Creative freedom for young dancers to take the lead in developing their own choreography, with expert support that shapes their ideas
  • Performance opportunities at professional theatres and festivals across the UK
  • Inclusive practice - Inspire Youth Arts supports a number of inclusive dance groups and connects them to wider dance opportunities. We actively welcome young people with physical and/or learning disabilities and/or who are neurodivergent to take part
  • Career pathways - our inclusive dance mentoring programme supports dancers to develop their skills and understanding, to pursue a career in dance
  • Innovative experiences we work with national and critically acclaimed companies through exclusive workshops and commissioned projects
  • Progression routes - through our partnership with FABRIC, we link dancers to the regional Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) and U.Dance, offering next steps for ambitious young artists

Our sessions run weekly during term time, for a range of experience levels and interests. Sessions are held at The Old Library and in venues across Nottinghamshire.
