Our dynamic Digital Programme empowers young people to explore and develop skills in cutting-edge digital art. This includes animation, film, photography, virtual, projection mapping, and augmented reality. 

Led by experienced digital artists and creative professionals, the programme offers: 

  • Hands-on experience with industry experts through our bespoke Proto-Type mentoring project 
  • Opportunities to build real-world skills and pathways into creative careers
  • Cross-disciplinary collaborations linking digital arts with Inspire Youth Arts music and dance programmes 
  • Confidence-building by deepening digital knowledge and sparking imagination
  • Inclusive access for young people with physical and/or learning disabilities and/or who are neurodivergent 
  • High-profile showcases such as Nottingham Light Night that celebrate and elevate young voices

What is it? Proto-Type are a group of young creatives who explore digital art and media skills under the mentorship of Urban Projections. Areas of focus include digital drawing, 3D modelling, projection mapping and Virtual Reality. Proto-Type create, experiment, collaborate and develop their artistic practises and work towards small and large-scale projects.

When is it? Saturdays, monthly. 

Where is it? Urban Projections studio (at the Harley Foundation, Welbeck Estate), and at The Old Library.

Who’s it for? Young People aged 15-19 years old.
