Inspire Youth Arts are looking for experienced digital artists to join their pool of freelance artists delivering exciting, creative and innovative digital projects across the county of Nottinghamshire. The deadline for ending Expression of Interest and CV is Monday 15 September, 8am.
Inspire Youth Arts (IYA) deliver regular term-time sessions, bespoke school holiday projects, and unique experiences in music, dance, and digital art. We collaborate with artists, partners, and cultural organisations from across Nottinghamshire, the Midlands, and nationally.
We are based at The Old Library, Mansfield and deliver work across schools, colleges and professional arts venues in Nottingham/shire.
Access and inclusion are at the centre of everything we do. We are committed to providing equitable opportunities and creative agency for all young people. We actively encourage young people with a physical and/or learning disability and/or who are neurodivergent to take part.
Our dynamic Digital Programme empowers young people to explore and develop skills in cutting-edge digital art. Previously, IYA have shared digital work annually at Nottingham Light Night, and are the producers for the inclusive music and digital project, Able Orchestra.
We are looking for experienced digital artists to deliver a range of digital arts sessions/projects to young people across Nottinghamshire.
This might include one or more of the following digital disciplines:
The work that IYA may offer to their pool of artists includes (but is not limited to):
Taster delivery in schools and community settings: A one-off and/or short- term offer to young people/partners to try a digital session.
Longer-term projects, delivered typically over 6-12 weeks with an outcome/sharing at the end. These usually align with the school term and could be delivered during the school day or on evenings/weekends.
Short-term intensive projects, typically delivered over 3-5 days with an outcome/sharing at the end. These usually happen during school holiday times.
Inspire Youth Arts places equality, inclusion, access, and diversity at the heart of our work. We welcome applications from physical and/or learning disabled and/or neurodivergent people and those who are members of other structurally disadvantaged groups including those from the Global Majority, LGBTQIA+ people and those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
