About this course

Take a look at the poet Lord Byron’s connections to Nottinghamshire. We explore why, as a boy, he first came to Nottingham, and explore his links with Newstead, Annesley, Southwell, Newark and Hucknall.

This single session will take learners on a virtual tour of the locations in Nottinghamshire associated with Lord Byron. Learners will gain a knowledge of Lord Byron’s life and how his time in Nottinghamshire shaped his life and poetry.

No previous knowledge is needed.
