About this course

Children still write Christmas lists – but what would you ask Santa for? More time with your family? To not mind when the glitter goes everywhere? This is a session of light-hearted creative writing, to focus on the Christmas you really want and deserve.

We will also be trying out some simple techniques for staying calm and de-stressing.

This course is for everyone who wants to come along. No creative writing experience is needed.

On this course we will cover:

  • - Breathing technique for calming and focus
  • - Visual techniques for finding calm
  • - Using writing prompts to kickstart creative writing
  • - Christmas and midwinter traditions in different times and cultures
  • - Writing a short haiku poem
  • - Setting intentions for Christmas in the form of a Christmas list

Resources Required

  • Some paper and a pen. A home printer is useful to print out handouts beforehand.
