Inspire are 1 of 9 library services to be part of a wider Digital Spaces project. Digital Spaces is an ambitious new programme in association with Arts Council England, BFI, awarding National Lottery funding and The Space. Launching in 2025, this forward-thinking initiative project will deliver an array of digital experiences – including two awe-inspiring virtual reality tours, a VR masterclass delivered by Neon 8, and Inspire will produce a VR film commission delivered as The Big Draw 2025.

The new VR film commission will explore the ideas of being together but separate, the same but different using the motif of leaves on a tree with audio of a poem telling the story. The workshops, illustration and animation will be undertaken by My Pockets, and the film will be created in VR by Neon8. During the exhibition tour and intensively over The Big Draw Festival Month Inspire will run activities for all libraries to deliver a simplified version of the My Pockets workshop to explore the theme and add their own leaf to displays in libraries and offer opportunities to enjoy the VR film.
Look out for the FREE drop-in workshops in Inspire Libraries this October!
An exhibition showing the story of the project with the orginal drawings used to make Leaf Number Three, will be on display at the following Inspire Libraries:
