Connect & Create at Retford Library: Aug, Sept, Oct & Nov 2026
It’s never too late to try something new and share ideas in a friendly, supportive group!
Nottinghamshire crafters came together to create 'Story Snugglers' in celebration of the National Year of Reading - and to give little ones a warm woolly hug at story time!
It's stunning celebration of yarn crafts!
Mansfield Central Library Gallery hosted an exhibition of nearly 300 Story Snugglers – every Story Snuggler was different and all were made with so much love and care.
Story Snugglers are characterful capes that little ones can wear to stay warm and cosy while enjoying a bedtime book.
After the exhibition the wonderful woollies were donated to Trussell. We hope they go on to be the spark at the start of a lifelong love of reading.
297 Story Snugglers were made for the challenge!
