Edwina Kung

Edwina Kung is an illustrator and visual artist whose practice consistently explores how we respond to our surroundings to create meaningful relationships with people, memories, and places. Taking inspiration from both personal and collective experiences. Edwina's drawings are created in a unique manner, combining drawing, painting, and textural elements. Her practice includes drawing, painting, and printmaking. She develops her own visual language through careful and deliberate texturing and mark-making, weaving and revealing traces of the creative process. This approach reflects the thought processes and ideas that underpin her work. Edwina’s work is often driven by storytelling, as she believes that everyone's story is equally important and that each story is worth telling and listening to. She received her education in Hong Kong, Taiwan, the USA, and the UK, and completed her MFA in Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University.
