The Impossible Journey Family Concert

Impossible Journey Artwork

The Impossible Journey was the third and final themed concert in our family concert series for year one. The concerts were held at Beeston Library (on Saturday 9 February 2019), Arnold Library (on Saturday 9 March 2019) and finally at Mansfield Central Library (on Saturday 30 March 2019).

Our orchestral band, The Hubs, were lost in time and engaged the audience on a journey to find their way home. Whizzing through time and space, the band performed music from Doctor Who and Back to the Future, alongside popular classics from Beethoven, Gershwin and Elvis.

After the performance there was also the chance for families to try out some of the instruments for themselves.

Here's what some of our audience members had to say;

"This was an absolute pleasure to attend, and my son LOVED it!"
"Excellent that the performers are so cheap and engaging and bringing music to the masses."
" This event was fantastic, we all really enjoyed it and hope you will do something similar again."

The show was aimed at children aged 5+ and their families. 106 children attended the performances with 216 audience members in total.
