Family Theatre

It is important to us that our family theatre performances can be enjoyed by all families across the county and beyond. Whilst we have performances that more explicitly deal with themes that may resonate with disabled and neurodivergent audiences (see below), we aim to make all shows not just an accessible but an enjoyable environment.

If you would like to attend one of our family theatre performances but need adjustments put in place, or need to know more about the performance, then you are always welcome to contact us prior to attending. We will be able to give you more information about designated quiet spaces, seating arrangements etc.

Family Theatre: Boxed In

Our upcoming family theatre performance of Boxed In might particularly resonate with neurodivergent audiences - this heartfelt story is about being made to feel naughty, just because the rules don’t make sense.

Boxed In is a largely non-verbal performance, so accessible to a wide range of people including BSL users and non-English speakers. Audiences are free to move around, go out and come back in during the show or make noise!

Each venue will have a designated quiet space where audience members can go during the performance if they need to.

Daryl & Co will also provide an Easy Read synopsis ahead of the show so that you can rest assured that you know what to expect from the performance.
