Smile

In 2017 Inspire received funding through Arts Council England’s Grants for the Arts Libraries Fund to develop an exciting and innovative musical project in Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City libraries for children aged 3 – 5 and their families.

In collaboration with MishMash Productions the project created a brand new musical performance based on the popular children’s picture book Augustus and His Smile (written and illustrated by Catherine Rayner) and published by Little Tiger Press.   

Smile told the enchanting story of Augustus the tiger’s search for his smile through captivating theatrical chamber music and was developed in association with Nottingham Library Service with support from Nottingham Music Service, Nottinghamshire Music Hub and Nottingham Lakeside Arts
