Lost Words Virtual Exhibition: Participant gallery

Participant panels

Both fascinating and beautiful, the Lost Words exhibition is now touring library galleries. During 2021, children and young people from schools across Nottinghamshire worked with acclaimed Notts poet Andrew Graves, linguist Professor Natalie Braber and artist Hannah Sawtell, to produce poetry featuring local dialect - both new and old. The children used illustrations of Notts dialect words and phrases produced by Hannah for inspiration, and in turn,  she brought their poetry to life in the wonderful artworks that make up this exhibition.

Scroll this page to see all the Lost Words exhibition panels featuring poetry by our workshop participants incorporated into wonderful illustrations by Hannah.
