We offer a range of accessible books and resources for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including sensory stories, symbol-supported books, Makaton resources and books designed for interactive reading and exploration.
This range features bright illustrations and few or no words. Made of ultra-durable tight-woven material these books are rip-proof and water-proof.
We stock two ranges from Every Cherry. The Symbolised range, and the Stories for Your Senses range.
The Symbolised range uses symbols to accompany the text, making them more accessible and enjoyable for those with learning difficulties.
The Stories for Your Senses range, is suitable for readers with profound and multiple learning difficulties, engaging all five of the senses.
We stock two ranges of Makaton picture books:
Suzanne Miell-Ingram's Makaton Signing Friends range helps children learn Makaton through engaging picture books. Produced in association with The Makaton Charity, each book features a QR code linking to signing support.
Tom Pollard's Makaton range uses Makaton Symbols and Signs to support the development of communication and early literacy skills. The range is accredited by The Makaton Charity.
