There is no allocated seating at any of the library venues.

It is likely the performance area will be available to take your seats approximately 10-15 minutes before the performance.

When a performance takes place at a library at a time when it is usually closed to the public – you can expect the doors to be opened around 15-20 minutes before the performance time.

Gulp! has been specifically created for children aged 7+ so the content may not hold the attention of a much younger child. We do not want this to be a barrier for families attending so please discuss with the library if you need more information.

Babes in arms are welcome. There is no charge and no ticket required for children aged 18 months and under.

We work hard to make all our performances a welcoming, relaxed and friendly experience for the whole family.

Most performances take place in the children’s library or a meeting room space, library staff will be happy to explain where a show will take place in your library.

Often, children can sit on cushions on the floor, to give them the best possible view of the action. Chairs are available for adults. But, you and your child are free to decide what will work best for you.

Seating arrangements vary depending on the nature of the show and the available space.

There is always space for a child to move away from the main show if for any reason they need a break from the action, with library staff on hand to assist if needed.
